Terms of Use (ToU)

Last updated: 15.06.2026

1. Scope and Applicability

These Terms of Use ("ToU") govern your access to and use of the Tiltility software application ("Tiltility Application") and related services provided by the developer ("I", "me", or "my").

Tiltility is an entertainment-focused software designed primarily for gamers. It enables immersive gameplay experiences by detecting subtle body tilts (left/right) and mapping them to keyboard inputs, allowing users to simulate leaning actions in video games. In the Tiltility Plus version, the application also recognizes hand gestures such as a thumbs-up, peace sign, fist, and others, which can be bound to in-game actions.

Tiltility is not intended for general-purpose computer control, professional use cases, or high-risk environments. Any use outside the scope of entertainment and gaming is strictly prohibited under these ToU.

By installing, accessing, or using the Tiltility Application, you agree to be bound by these ToU.

2. Controller and Legal Framework

I am a computer scientist with a PhD specializing in innovative multimodal human-computer interaction and AI-driven interface design. Tiltility is the result of ongoing research and development in immersive input technologies for entertainment and gaming.

I am also the controller for the processing of your personal data in accordance with Article 4(7) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Name: Dr. Ramin Hedeshy
  • Address: Katzenbachstr. 51, 70563 Stuttgart, Germany
  • Email: ramin@hedeshy.com

These ToU are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

3. License and Updates

Upon purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Tiltility Application on supported versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11.

  • Updates will be provided until the end of life (EOL) of Windows 10 and Windows 11 as defined by Microsoft.
  • When a new Windows operating system is released, a new version of the Tiltility Application may be required and must be purchased separately.

No subscription is required. The license is a one-time purchase per supported OS generation.

4. Website Accounts and Optional Third-Party Sign-In

The Tiltility website may offer account functionality related to direct purchases, account access, updates, and related website services.

You may be able to sign in to the website using optional third-party providers such as Google or Steam. These sign-in options are provided only as a convenience for website account authentication.

If you use Google or Steam sign-in:

  • You authorize Tiltility to use the provider identity information returned in that sign-in flow for account authentication and account association.
  • You remain responsible for the accuracy of the information associated with your Tiltility account.
  • If a provider identity matches an existing Tiltility account, you may be required to sign in to that account first and link the provider manually before direct provider sign-in can be used.
  • Your use of Google or Steam sign-in remains subject both to these ToU and to the terms and policies of the respective provider.

5. Users’ Duties and Responsibilities
